Frequently asked questions
Do we need a group to create a tournament?
No. Use standard Squash Singles directly, or create an event within your squash group. Groups also keep an ongoing leaderboard between events.
How much court time should we allow?
Count all matches and leave room for warm-ups, recovery and matches that run long. A small round robin can suit a few players; a bigger field may need pools or several playing sessions.
Can we combine pools with knockout?
Yes. For example, send the top two entrants from each of two pools into semifinals and a final. Agree qualification and tie-break rules before play. Compare tournament formats →
Does a squash event replace our club ladder?
No. A tournament has its own rounds and finish. Your squash group can keep its ongoing rating-based leaderboard between events.
Do all players need an Elo-X account?
Yes. Participating players join with their own accounts. See Squash results and ratings for activity information, or the group setup guide to bring your regular players together first.
